John Litchfield
John Litchfield, co-owner of Litchfield and Taylor Custom Homes, grew up on Cedar Creek Lake helping his family build boat docks on the lake over the last 30 years. Prior to co-founding Litchfield and Taylor Custom Homes six years ago with Jim Muncrief and his wife Jennifer, he worked in his family’s business where he learned that referrals are the most valuable form of marketing. John is known as one of the top luxury builders in some of Cedar Creek Lake's most prestigious neighborhoods including Long Cove, 505 Ranch, Pinnacle Club, and Cedar Creek Landing.
He has also built custom homes on some of the Cedar Creek Lake's most premier waterfront lots. He recently completed a 22 acre estate featuring a 19,000 sq. ft. main home, 3 guest homes, six car garage, 8,000 sq. ft. storage barn, and sport courts. He is currently building a custom home in 505 Ranch with a 17,000 sq. ft. main home showcasing 28 ft. ceilings plus a 3,000 sq. ft. man cave and six car garage. John has completed eight homes in 505 Ranch, more than any other builder. His portfolio also includes Farm & Ranch properties, including a 6,000 sq. ft. hunters retreat barndominum on 500+ acres.
John's clients appreciate his ease of demeanor and calm under pressure attitude making him and his team easy to work with. John is known as the builder who does what he says he is going to do. He has earned a reputation for honesty and integrity, paying attention to detail and providing superior quality construction while meeting deadlines making him one of Cedar Creek Lake's most sought after luxury home builders.
John is an Army veteran who is an avid sportsman who enjoys hunting, water sports, adult league soccer and softball. He is a dedicated husband to his wife Julie and father to his 8 children and spends much of his time in the community coaching little league soccer and baseball.

Jim Muncrief
Jim Muncrief is the co-founder of Litchfield and Taylor Custom Homes. With proven results, he is known to his clients as the builder who always looks out for his client's best interests. Litchfield and Taylor Custom Homes is a dynamic construction company that thrives when collaborating with homeowners, contractors, and the entire extended teams. From meeting with contractors on the job site to ensuring bids are precise to virtual consultations with designers and architects, Jim never leaves a stone unturned.
Jim brings 25 years of industry expertise to Litchfield and Taylor Custom Homes. He learned solid values growing up in rural West Texas and graduated from the University of North Texas with a Real Estate degree. Jim became rooted in the industry while working at Lennar Homes in Frisco where he learned the foundation of home building, both on the job site delivering exceptional customer services and critical backend office tasks like scheduling, payroll and budgeting. He then went to work for Goodman who was acquired by K. Hovnanian Homes. He built many high-end homes, winning numerous awards for production, quality and customer satisfaction while working the DFW Metroplex for over 18 years.
In 2016, Jim co-founded Litchfield and Taylor Custom Homes with his wife Jennifer of 24 years and John Litchfield. When the pandemic hit, the Metroplex discovered the hidden gem of Cedar Creek Lake and today the company does over $11M and averages 8-10 number of projects annually.
Office Manager and Executive Assistant
Miranda Martin
Miranda Martin serves as the office manager and indispensable assistant to Litchfield and Taylor Custom Homes. Raised in Mabank, Texas, Miranda now resides with her family at Cedar Creek Lake, embracing her hometown roots. Initially transitioning from being a stay-at-home mom, Miranda joined the team, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring deadlines are met, client needs are accommodated, and all requirements for constructing exceptional homes are fulfilled.
Effortlessly navigating the demands of her position, Miranda's expertise lies in bringing order to chaos. While she finds immense satisfaction in her work, her true motivation stems from returning home to her husband, Brent, and their children. Outside of the office, Miranda thrives in outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, hunting, and engaging in sports.
Miranda's devotion extends beyond her professional and personal life, as she faithfully serves alongside her husband at Victory Church in Scurry. Here, she finds profound joy in her faith and the positive impact it brings to her life and those around her.
